ICEserver automatically creates a comprehensive report that summarizes the settings used for each hot folder along with the estimated ink requirements and savings for each file. An example of the ink report is shown below:

Ink demand is a 3-Dimensional calculation (i.e. volumetric) achieved by literally counting the number of CMYK pixels in a PDF file before and after optimization then multiplying this number by corresponding pixel (ink) densities. Because there may be factors that could cause ink demand to vary from a job standard (e.g., GRACoL), ICEserver allows you to normalize usage values based on your actual results, ensuring the most accurate cost estimates. Independent of any variability in actual usage volumes, the percent savings always accurately represents ink savings because they are calculated on a relative basis (optimized vs. non-optimized).
